Directions to the Manchester Oxford Road Campus

By train and bus

From Piccadilly or Victoria train stations:

  • Make your way to Piccadilly Gardens, either on foot or using the Metrolink tram service
  • Take one of the following buses, which go past the hospitals on Oxford Road: 11, 14, 15, 16, 41, 42, 43, 46, 48, 142, 143
  • You will need to alight on, or next to, Grafton Street

From Oxford Road train station:

  • Take one of the following buses, all of which pass Oxford Road train station and then go past the hospitals on Oxford Road: 11, 14, 15, 16, 41, 42, 43, 46, 48, 142, 143
  • Taxi ranks are also in operation at all these train stations.

 

By air

  • Manchester International Airport is approximately a twenty minute drive from the hospitals.
  • The airport operates regular scheduled flights to all parts of the UK, Europe and other global destinations.
  • There is a direct rail link between the airport and Piccadilly train station.

Using in-car navigation (GPS/sat-nav) systems

  • Enter the postcode M13 9NZ to direct you to the Facility.
  • Please note that the Facility’s postcode will take you to the centre of the hospital, and
    not to the Facility itself.

 

From the North and North West (M6)

  •  Leave the M6 via the M61, and continue to the M60
  • Join the M60, travel anti-clockwise to Junction 12, and join the M60
  • Join the A57 (Regent Road) and continue onto the Mancunian Way (A57(M))
  • Leave at the junction signed for Congleton (A34), bearing left to join the A34
  • Once on Upper Brook Street (A34), turn right onto Grafton Street at the fifth set of
    traffic lights

 

From the North-East (M62)

  • Leave the M62 at Junction 18, and join the M60 (Manchester)
  • Leave at the next Junction to join the A576 (Manchester Central)
  • After about a mile, bear left at the traffic lights onto the A665 (Bury Old Road)
  • At the fifth set of traffic lights, turn right into Trinity Way (at the junction with the
  • Manchester Arena/AO Arena)
  • At the bottom of the hill, turn left into Great Ducie Street
  • Drive down Deansgate and turn left into John Dalton Street (the Halifax Building is on
    the corner)
  • Travel for approximately one and a half miles, and then turn right at the traffic lights
    into Grafton Street

 

From the South (M6)

  • Leave the M6 at Junction 19, and travel along the A556 towards Manchester
  • At the roundabout, join the M56 (Junction 8), heading towards the Airport
  • Stay on the M56, which will continue as the A5103 (Princess Road)
  • Turn right into the Moss Lane East (B5219), just by the Brewery
  • Continue to the T-junction, and turn left onto Oxford Road (B5117)
  • After about 800 yards, turn right at the traffic lights onto Grafton Street

 

From the South (M1)

  • At M1 Junction 19, join the M6, then follow the directions above

 

From the West (M61 and M62)

  • Leave the M62 at Junction 12, and join the M602 (Salford)
  • At the end of the motorway, you will join the A57 (Regent Road) and continue onto
    the Mancunian Way (A57(M))
  • Leave at the junction signed for Congleton (A34), bearing left to join the A34
  • Once on Upper Brook Street (A34), turn right onto Grafton Street at the fifth set of
    traffic lights
